Summer used to be my favorite season. I think that’s because it meant no school…or at least a long break…or days spent by the pool.
As I’ve gotten older though, I’ve learned to appreciate each season for what they represent…what they bring…how they make me feel.
I know it’s a little early to settle into Fall but on such a crisp day I can’t help but get a little excited for the incoming season.
Fall means football…camp fires…leaves…sweaters…scarfs…boots (the cute kind, not the snow kind). It brings a more grounded feeling as I start to prepare for the winter months…consume more warm beverages…thicker beers.
I envision more reds, oranges, dark yellows, deep blues and purples.
Everything feels richer…a little heavier…more grounded.
There’s something about Fall air that makes dreams a little clearer. It’s like the heavy, humid air of the Summer has lifted and something cleaner, lighter, crisper comes into view.
