Turkey medicine

This morning as I drifted in & out of sleep, I heard the gobble of wild turkeys.

The little farm girl in me hopped out of bed like it was Christmas morning & ran to the window.

From my front porch, I watched two male turkeys shake their tail feathers trying to woo a female.

Of course, I looked up the spirit meaning of turkeys. . . abundance, connection to the earth & nature, & importance of community, among other things.

After my meditation, I was inquiring as to why certain people have come into my life as of late.

The card that jumped out of my deck: Birds of a Feather 🪶🦃

((Seriously, I can't make this shit up.))

That card is all about community & connecting with like-minded & like-hearted individuals. And trusting that this is exactly where I'm supposed to be. . . & will be forever changed as a result.

At the beginning of the year, I set the intention to find my tribe here in Asheville. To connect to the community & find my place in it. To grow some roots & make a difference.

I can feel all of that happening. 💗

Between the spirit medicine of the wild turkeys & the affirming oracle card this morning, it seems the Universe is in agreement.
